AEI Capital Acquires Chicago, Illinois Medical Outpatient Building for $7.51 Million 

On January 8, AEI Capital Corporation announced that it made its first acquisition of 2025 with the purchase of a Chicago, Illinois medical outpatient building (MOB). The purchase price is $7.51 million.   The MOB encompasses 25,000 square feet. The property is leased by an affiliate of Advocate Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization that includes hospitals, standalone emergency departments, behavioral health services, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation services and urgent care centers throughout the greater Chicago MSA. Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) announced it was strengthening its foothold in Pennsylvania with the acquisition of Eastern Pennsylvania Gastroenterology and Liver Specialists (EPGI).  EPGI maintains four locations in Pennsylvania located in the Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe and Lackawanna counties. In addition to providing colonoscopy and advanced endoscopy services, EPGI clinicians treat a broad range of gastrointestinal illnesses, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease. Boston Scientific Announces its First Transaction of 2025 for $443 Million 

Boston Scientific announced its first deal of 2025. On January 8, Boston Scientific reported that it was acquiring the remaining 74% stake of Bolt Medical for $443 million, plus potential regulatory milestone payments of up to $221 million.  Bolt Medical is based in Carlsbad, California. It is a developer and manufacturer of an intravascular lithotripsy advanced laser-based platform for treating coronary and peripheral artery disease. Stryker Kicks Off 2025, Striking $4.9 Billion Inari Medical Deal

Medical device maker Stryker Corp. kicked off 2025 with a massive transaction. The Kalamazoo, Michigan-based company announced that it has agreed to acquire Inari Medical, headquartered in Irvine, California. Under the terms of the deal, which was first reported by Reuters on January 6, 2024, Stryker will pay $80 per share for Inari. The all-cash deal is worth $4.9 billion. Novant Health Acquires Southeastern Spine Institute 

Novant Health, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, announced that it acquired Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based Southeastern Spine Institute (SSI) for an undisclosed price.   Since it was established in 1990, SSI has provided a wide range of spine procedures, including surgery and nonsurgical care, rehabilitation, pain management, physical therapy and advanced imaging.
