Montecito Medical Real Estate acquired a 29,400-square-foot specialty medical outpatient building (MOB) in Austin, Texas, fully occupied by Texas Oncology, one of the nation’s largest community-based oncology practices. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition expands Montecito’s footprint in Texas and adds another oncology-focused asset to its healthcare real estate portfolio.

Texas Oncology operates more than 300 locations statewide and provides oncology care, clinical research and trial services across Texas. The acquisition aligns with Montecito’s strategy of targeting outpatient medical assets leased to physician-led specialty providers in high-growth markets.

Since its founding in 2006, Montecito has completed nearly $7 billion in medical real estate transactions. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks Montecito’s 10th acquisition of the year. There have also been 84 MOB deals reported in 2026, with 10 in Texas.
