23andMe Merges With Telemedicine Platform Lemonaid Health
On October 22, 23andMe Holdings Co. announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement with Lemonaid Health, Inc., an on-demand platform for accessing medical care and pharmacy services online, for $400 million. A quarter of the purchase price will be paid in cash and 75% in shares of 23andMe Class A Common Stock. Walgreens Boots Alliance announced two major investments in home-based care on October 14, totaling $5.5 billion.
