BrightView Health Enters North Carolina With New Leaf Center Acquisition
BrightView Health, an outpatient addiction treatment provider based in the Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, acquired New Leaf Center in Murphy, North Carolina. The deal marks BrightView’s first entry into North Carolina and its fifth state overall. The companies announced the transaction earlier this week. Terms were not disclosed. On January 6, Summit Behavioral Healthcare announced it had acquired seven psychiatric hospitals in six states from Strategic Behavioral Health. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This transaction will add an additional 613 inpatient psychiatric beds to Summit BHC’s portfolio, expanding its existing presence in Iowa, Tennessee and Texas and giving the company a foothold in New Mexico, North Carolina and Wisconsin for the first time. BayMark Health Services, a provider of substance abuse treatments, announced that it was acquiring Granite Recovery Centers, based in Salem, New Hampshire. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Granite Recovery Centers has two residential treatment facilities and several sober living homes throughout southern New Hampshire that serve adult patients from across New England and throughout the country.
