WELL Health Technologies Acquires MCI Medical Clinics

WELL Health Technologies announced on May 19 that it acquired MCI Medical Clinics (Alberta) Inc. (MCI AB) from MCI Onehealth Technologies Inc. The purchase price is approximately $1.48 million, or $2 million CAD.  MCI AB owns and operates five primary care clinics in Alberta, Canada. Regard Recovery Acquires Three Addiction Treatment Centers

Vertava Health announced on May 15 that it sold three addiction treatment centers to Regard Recovery.  The substance use disorder centers are now known as Texas Recovery Center in Scurry, Texas; Swift River in Cummington, Massachusetts; and The Bluffs in Sherrodsville, Ohio. The acquisition of these three centers is part of a scale-back and pivot strategy for Vertava Health as it will allow the company to expand its mental health business and adjust its addicted treatment business trajectory. After three months of negotiation, Flagler Health+ and UF Health have reached a definitive agreement to merge their two organizations together.  Flagler Health+ operates a 335-bed acute-care general hospital from an 80-acre site just south of the city limits of St. Augustine, Florida. It also owns a home health network, the Outpatient Surgery Center of St. Augustine, LLC., Flagler Professional Health Services, Inc. and CF Management Administrative Company, LLC, which provides a variety of outpatient health and urgent care services to the surrounding community. HCA Expands Acquires 41 FastMed Urgent Care Locations in Texas

The publicly traded health system HCA Healthcare, Inc. struck a deal to acquire 41 urgent care centers in Texas owned by FastMed. No financial terms were disclosed, but the transaction is expected to close this summer. The agreement includes 19 FastMed and 22 MedPost urgent care centers in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and El Paso. It does not include FastMed’s urgent care locations outside of Texas.
