Lee Equity Partners Acquires Bradford Health Services
New York-based private equity firm Lee Equity Partners announced its acquisition of a majority ownership interest in Bradford Health Services, a substance use disorder treatment and recovery services provider in Birmingham, Alabama. Lee Equity acquired the company from private equity firm Centre Partners and certain other investors, with Centre Partners maintaining an ongoing equity stake. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Will & Emery acted as legal counsel to Lee Equity. On October 26, Sabino Recovery, run by Thomas Isbell, announced its acquisition of Cypress Lakes Lodge, marking the 89th Behavioral Health Care (BHC) transaction of the year. Sabino Recovery specializes in the treatment of childhood or adult trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and addictions. The company is based in Tucson, Arizona and was founded in 2015. Acorn Health Expands Presence With Acquisition of Seven Applied Behavior Analysis Centers
Acorn Health, a portfolio company of MBF Healthcare Partners, announced on October 18 that it acquired seven applied behavior analysis (ABA) centers. The terms were not disclosed. Acorn Health, formed in October 2018, manages a network of behavioral health companies that offer applied behavior analysis therapy (ABA). It has locations in Michigan, Florida, Illinois and Virginia. The ABA centers are in downtown Orlando, Longwood, Riverview, East Orange, Champions Gate and Kissimmee, Florida and Stafford, Virginia. ARC Health Acquires Relationship Therapy Center
ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company, announced on October 17 that it acquired the Relationship Therapy Center, the most extensive couples therapy practice in the Midwest. The deal marks ARC Health’s third transaction since it was formed in 2021 in partnership with outpatient mental health provider Advanced Recovery Concepts. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Behavioral Health M&A Market Slows in Third Quarter
The Behavioral Health Care (BHC) sector appeared to be on the up-and-up since breaking records in deal totals in 2021 when there were 124 transactions announced. So far, during 2022, there have been 79 deals announced as of September 30, 2022, falling just short of the 83 deals announced during the same 2021 period.
