PeaceHealth Adds 4 Clark County-Based Providence Clinic Sites
PeaceHealth and Providence Medical Group have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement that will result in PeaceHealth acquiring four health clinics from Providence. Pending the standard regulatory review processes, the clinics will transfer to PeaceHealth. The clinics are located in Vancouver, Washington in Clark County. The four clinic sites employ approximately 100 staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, clinical care coordinators and patient service specialists. Mental health provider Thriveworks kicked off October with a deal announcement. The company announced on October 2 that it has acquired AI-powered behavioral health company Synchronous Health. Synchronous Health is a behavioral telehealth company that delivers online counseling and coaching from human specialists with support between sessions from Karla®, an AI bot. Despite all the headwinds straining the healthcare M&A market, deal activity stabilized in the third quarter of 2024, according to preliminary results in the LevinPro HC database. With 489 deals on the books in the last week of September, we saw only a marginal decline in activity compared with the second quarter of 2024 and year-over-year numbers. From April to June, there were 499 deals, and in Q3:23, activity reached 516 deals. Disclosed spending followed a similar trend to quarterly deal volumes, which is not always the case.
