EyeSouth Partners Acquires Sunvera Group, Expanding into Michigan 

EyeSouth Partners announced its expansion into Michigan with the acquisition of Sunvera Group. The financial terms were not disclosed.  Sunvera Group is a management services organization (MSO) that provides management and administrative solutions to ophthalmology practices and ambulatory surgery centers in the Midwest. Sunvera Group supports more than 16 practices, 45 physicians, 23 ophthalmology clinics and four ambulatory surgery centers in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  EyeSouth Partners, a portfolio company of Olympus Partners since 2022, is an eye care services organization in the Southeast. ReFocus Eye Health, based in Waterbury, Connecticut, announced on August 1 that it was expanding its presence in Virginia with the acquisition of The Eye Center.  The Eye Center is an ophthalmology and refractive surgery practice offering iLASIK, EVO Visian Implantable Collamer Lens and advanced treatments such as CustomVue and iDESIGN-2.0. It is based in Sterling, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. On July 30, IVI RMA announced its second transaction of the year with the acquisition of ART Fertility Clinics’ operations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.  ART Fertility Clinics is based in Abu Dhabi and is a leading provider of fertility services across the Middle East and India. The Physician Medical Group (PMG) M&A market went through a recalibration in the first half of 2025, with lower-than-anticipated deal volume. According to preliminary data captured in the LevinPro HC database, between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, there were 1,038 healthcare transactions, with 232 of them in the PMG sector. The PMG deal volume represents a 14% decline from the same period of 2024 when 270 deals were announced, and a 25% drop from the first six months of 2023 when 310 acquisitions were reported.
