Warburg Pincus announced that it has secured a majority interest in South Texas Accelerated Research Therapeutics (START). START directs clinical trials of novel anticancer agents. START’s head office is located in San Antonio, Texas, in the heart of the South Texas Medical Center. According to a April 1 press release, Eye Physicians of Libertyville has acquired Northern Illinois Eye Clinic. Effective March 28, 2024, Eye Physicians of Libertyville doctors have assumed care for Northern Illinois Eye Clinic patients. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Northern Illinois Eye Clinic is a specialty ophthalmology clinic located in Mundelein, Illinois, serving Long Grove, Lake Zurich, Vernon Hills, Wauconda, Grayslake and Libertyville, Illinois. Kaiser Permanente Buys ASC in Lancaster, California
Oakland, California-based Kaiser Permanente announced that it has acquired its first ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in southern California. The ASC, Antelope Valley Surgery Center, is a multispecialty outpatient center in Lancaster, California. The 12,500-square-foot ASC provides services including general surgery, gynecological cases, eye surgery, head and neck, podiatry, orthopedic and plastic surgery. Rancho Mirage, California-based Eisenhower Health announced that it has purchased the Neuro Vitality Center in California. Neuro Vitality Center, formerly the Stroke Recovery Center, is a medical clinic that has served neurologically challenged and chronically ill patients in the Palm Springs, California community since 1978.
