Addus HomeCare Corporation announced on June 10 a definitive agreement to acquire the personal care operations of Gentiva. The assets are being acquired for an anticipated purchase price, after customary purchase price adjustments, of approximately $350 million. Gentiva is a dedicated hospice, palliative and personal care services company, with more than 590 locations and thousands of compassionate clinicians and caregivers across 38 states. Dover Health Expands Into Illinois With Two Acquisitions
Dover Health announced that it is expanding its footprint into Illinois with its latest acquisitions. The company purchased Centered Care Hospice and Palliative Care and Cornerstone Home Healthcare LLC, both in the Chicago MSA. Centered Care Hospice and Palliative Care provides hospice and palliative care in Joliet, Illinois and the surrounding areas. Cornerstone Home Healthcare LLC is a provider of home health services, offering home therapy, skilled nursing, social work and home health aides for patients meeting Medicare’s home health eligibility. HouseWorks Expands Northeastern Footprint With Acquisition
HouseWorks announced that it has acquired AccordCare’s personal care division in Connecticut, which operates under the brands Companions & Homemakers and Companions Forever. The deal will mark HouseWorks entry into Connecticut, and further expand its footprint in the Northeast. AccordCare originally acquired Companions Forever in December of 2020, and then acquired Companions & Homemakers in October of 2022. Addus HomeCare Corporation announced on May 21 a definitive agreement to sell its New York operations to HCS-Girling, based in Brooklyn, New York. HCS-Girling is a leading provider of home health and home care services. Addus HomeCare is a provider of home care services that primarily include personal care services that assist with activities of daily living, as well as hospice and home health services.
