Pinnacle Treatment Centers and Linden Capital Partners, L.P. began their partnership in 2016, launching a national behavioral health platform in the years since. When Pinnacle Treatment Centers was acquired by Linden Capital, it served roughly 10,000 patients daily at approximately 30 facilities, according to Deal Search Online. In 2020, the company treats 31,000 patients daily in California, Indiana, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, with over 115 community-based locations.
The company has grown organically, opening new locations and facilities, but also through acquisitions with the backing of Linden Capital. In April 2019, Pinnacle acquired three outpatient opioid treatment programs based in Hayes, Newport News and Williamsburg, Virginia, and one office-based opioid treatment program in Newport News from American Addiction Treatment Center. All four programs began to accept Medicaid patients following the deal.
Soon after in May 2019, Pinnacle added Ohio-based Addiction Medicine Care of Columbus, an office-based opioid treatment program. That deal gave Pinnacle a network of 18 locations in Ohio. Pinnacle also retained the medical, clinical, and administrative staff at the facility, which treats 400 adult men and women on a daily basis.
In 2020, Pinnacle has kept just as busy. Back in January, the company acquired Aegis Treatment Centers, a leading provider of outpatient opioid treatment programs that offers counseling and medication-assisted treatment to more than 10,000 patients daily through 35 facilities throughout California.
Last week, Pinnacle made another big move and acquired HealthQwest for an undisclosed sum. Founded in 2008, HealthQwest provides professionally supervised medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and medical withdrawal as a licensed Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP) in Georgia. The company serves nearly 1,100 patients daily through five outpatient centers located in Buford, Douglasville, Macon, Savannah and Warner Robins. This acquisition added Georgia to Pinnacle’s network, its eighth state.
