Gen4 Dental Partners, a doctor-centric, partner-focused dental service organization based in Tempe, Arizona, acquired Moberly Family Dentistry, a physician medical group located in Moberly, Missouri for an undisclosed price. Doing business since 1988, Moberly Family Dentistry provides comprehensive cosmetic dentistry and orthodontic care for residents in Moberly and surrounding areas.
A portfolio company of Thurston Group, Gen4 Dental Partners is one of the fastest-growing dental services organizations, providing support to leading providers of dental services. Gen4 Dental Partners was formed by the Thurston Group earlier in 2021 through the acquisition of five group practices in Arizona and Utah consisting of 15 locations across the Southwest.
The acquisition increases Moberly Family Dentistry’s opportunities to enhance the level of support within the business operations aspect of the practice. With Gen4’s operational support hub, Moberly Family Dentistry will continue to focus on providing dentistry and strengthen its patient care. The terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public.
The acquisition of Moberly Family Dentistry is Gen4 Dental Partners’ first acquisition since it was founded and is expected to continue making purchases to strengthen its foothold across the country. According to the LevinPro HC database, this is the 78th dental acquisition of 2021 in the Physician Medical Group sector. Other busy acquirers of the sector include U.S. Oral Surgery Management, Dental Care Alliance, LLC, Smile Brands Inc., 42 North Dental, Access Dental Management LLC and Beacon Dental Health. Nearly all of these buyers are backed by private equity firms.
