Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery announced that it was acquiring Greenville Dermatology, a South Carolina-based physician medical group that offers superior care to patients. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A portfolio company of Harvest Partners LLP, Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is one of the nation’s premier dermatology practices. Founded in 1989, Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery treats patients for common and complex conditions of the skin, hair, and nails, offers advanced skin cancer treatments, and uses some of the most sought-after therapies available to reduce the impacts of age and the environment. It runs more than 140 offices across 14 states.
Greenville Dermatology is a comprehensive cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology practice led by Board Certified Dermatologists Matthew L. Miller, MD and Leslie H. Poinsette, MD.
Once the acquisition is finalized, Greenville Dermatology will be able to draw upon Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery’s extensive network and gain knowledge from clinical research conducted by Advanced Dermatology. This deal, also, strengthens Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery’s foothold in South Carolina as it continues to expand its presence throughout the country.
The Physical Medical Group has had a busy year, especially for dermatology practices. According to the Irving Levin Associates’ database, this is the 27th dermatology acquisition of the year compared to only 18 deals in 2020. In November 2020, Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery acquired SkinTrust Dermatology, another dermatology practice located in Greenville. Based on the action in the PMG sector and their recent acquisitions, it’s safe to assume that Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery intends on increasing their practices even more in the upcoming year.
