Southern Orthodontic Partners (SOP), a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners, announced that it added three orthodontic practices to its network: Lowcountry Orthodontics, Gerlein Orthodontics and Smile at the World Orthodontics. Lowcountry Orthodontics operates out of three locations in South Carolina: St. George, Goose Creek and Summerville. There is one physician on staff, Dr. Roland Fulcher. Based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Gerlein Orthodontics is run by Dr. Eduardo Gerlein and a team of 12 employees, including orthodontic assistants and lab technicians. The clinical trials market, part of our newly formed Life Sciences R&D sector, has seen a shift in M&A deal volume over the last few years. The post-pandemic dealmaking frenzy has cooled, with acquirers now making more strategic and deliberate moves over the large-scale expansion of previous years. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, deal volume was modest before the post-pandemic surge, with 12 deals in 2019, 14 in 2020 and 18 in 2021. Women’s Health Arizona Launches Solara Neonatal
Women’s Health Arizona announced on September 11 that it launched and acquired Solara Neonatal, which will serve as a neonatal division. Solara has seven board-certified neonatologists and 50 neonatal nurse practitioners on staff. The original press release notes that a key innovation within Solara Neonatal is its Virtual Neonatal Support Program (VINES) a post-discharge care initiative that provides provider follow-up visits to families after NICU discharge.
