Established in 1980, Blair Gastroenterology Associates consists of a team of physicians specializing in disorders and diseases of the digestive system, which include the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, gallbladder, liver and pancreas. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital announced on August 7 that it acquired Pediatric Associates of Cincinnati, a three-physician pediatrics practice. In addition to being run by three physicians, Pediatric Associates of Cincinnati has one physician assistant on staff. The pediatric practice serves approximately 2,000 patients. Cincinnati Children’s, a nonprofit academic medical center established in 1883, is one of the oldest pediatric hospitals in the United States. PhyNet Dermatology LLC, a portfolio company of Century Equity Partners, announced that it expanded its Louisiana presence with the acquisition of Nunnally Dermatology. Nunnally Dermatology offers dermatology services out of one Baton Rouge location. According to its website, the practice is run by one physician and one physician assistant. Orlando Health Acquires Florida Medical Clinic
On August 1, Orlando Health announced that it entered a partnership with Florida Medical Clinic (FMC). FMC is a multi-specialty physician group consisting of 54 locations, more than 350 providers, 40 medical specialties and a team of more than 2,000 employees. Orlando Health is a not-for-profit healthcare organization with $8.1 billion of assets under management. The 238-bed system includes 23 hospitals and emergency departments.
