Allied OMS, a portfolio company of Chicago-based private equity firm DuneGlass Capital, announced on March 13 that it acquired three dental practices, marking the company’s first acquisitions of the year.

Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is run by Dr. James Lessig and Dr. Thomas S. Michalik. It has locations in Englewood and Littleton, Colorado. Their expertise includes corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal.

With locations in Eugene, Roseburg and Florence, Oregon, Oregon Oral Surgeons is run by four physicians. A provider of oral and maxillofacial surgical care, Oregon Oral Surgeons is one of the few practices in the country that places its dental implants using CT-guided technology.

WestsideOMS is run by Dr. Rupi Dhadli and a support team of four employees. It has one location in Hillsboro, Oregon. It offers a full scope of oral and maxillofacial services including wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, sinus lift, socket preservation, orthodontic anchorage devices, oral pathology and 3D imaging.

Allied OMS is a doctor-owned, doctor-led management services organization in the oral and maxillofacial surgery space. Headquartered in Southlake, Texas, it has more than 45 surgeons serving patients out of more than 35 locations across California, Colorado, New York, Oregon, Texas and Virginia. 

The financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 105th Physician Medical Groups transaction of the year, including 29 of them in the dental specialty. In 2022, Allied OMS completed seven acquisitions, expanding its network by 10 dental practices.
