VillageMD, a subsidiary of Walgreens, announced on March 3 that it acquired Starling Physicians, a multi-specialty physician group based in Connecticut.

Cain Brothers acted as an exclusive financial advisor to Starling Physicians. The financial terms were not disclosed.

Starling Physicians provides a range of primary care services out of its 34 Connecticut locations. It is run by more than 50 physicians that is supplemented by a support staff of more than 50 employees. 

VillageMD provides tools, technology, operations and staffing support for physician groups, independent practice associations and health systems. VillageMD, through its subsidiary Village Medical, is a national provider of value-based primary care services. VillageMD’s workforce of more than 20,000 operates from 680 practice locations in 26 markets.
