Unity MSK, backed by Trinity Hunt Partners, acquired Midland Orthopedic Associates, marking the 48th Physician Medical Groups (PMG) transaction of the quarter.
Unity MSK is a national platform providing support services to practices offering the full continuum of musculoskeletal care. It was formed by Trinity Hunt Partners in 2021.
Midland Orthopedic Associates’ physicians offer advanced orthopedic care in sports medicine, hand, shoulder and upper extremity, hip and knee, foot and ankle, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and trauma care. It has four locations in Illinois and is run by a team of six physicians.
This acquisition gives Unity MSK a stronger foothold in the Chicago MSA and provides Midland Orthopedic Associates with the ability to grow. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to the LevinPro HC database, this is Trinity Hunt Partners’s second acquisition of the year; previously it purchased the pain management practice, SpineOne, which is based in Denver, Colorado. The acquisition of Midlands Orthopedic Associates represents the 501st PMG acquisition of the year, 31 of them in the orthopedic subsector.
