Acorn Health, a portfolio company of MBF Healthcare Partners, announced on October 18 that it acquired seven applied behavior analysis (ABA) centers. The terms were not disclosed. 

Acorn Health, formed in October 2018, manages a network of behavioral health companies that offer applied behavior analysis therapy (ABA). It has locations in Michigan, Florida, Illinois and Virginia.

The ABA centers are in downtown Orlando, Longwood, Riverview, East Orange, Champions Gate and Kissimmee, Florida and Stafford, Virginia. 

The addition of the seven centers takes Acorn’s presence to 14 in Florida and 13 in Virginia. The centers were acquired through Breakthrough Behavior Florida. Calex Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Acorn Health. Terms were not disclosed.

According to the LevinPro HC database, this deal marks the seventh Behavioral Health Care acquisition of the fourth quarter, and the first in the autism subsector.
