MB2 Dental, a portfolio company of middle-market private equity firm Charlesbank Capital Partners since February 2021, announced on October 17 the acquisition of Athens Dentistry for Children, a pediatric dental office located in the Athens, Georgia area, expanding the company’s presence in Georgia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Athens Dentistry for Children is led by Georgia natives Dr. Michelle Harmon and Dr. Brandi Owensby.
Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, MB2 Dental Solutions partners with dentists and specialists. Founded in 2007, MB2 offers general dentistry services, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery.
According to the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 484th Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2022 and the 160th acquisition of a dental practice this year. This also marks MB2 Dental’s 28th acquisition of the year and its third acquisition in Georgia. The company previously acquired Peachtree City-based Vassey Dental Partners in September 2022 and Brunswick-based Weaver Orthodontics in October 2022.
