Align Capital Partners (ACP) has acquired Heritage Imaging, a provider of mobile diagnostic imaging services to hospitals and healthcare facilities. Steve Coppess, CEO of Heritage, will continue to lead Heritage post-transaction alongside the current management team. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Boise, Idaho, Heritage Imaging is a provider of medical diagnostic imaging services to customers in underserved markets in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Heritage delivers full-service mobile imaging solutions, providing both equipment and technicians to perform on-site scans at customer locations. The company also offers both equipment rentals and technician staffing.
ACP is a growth-oriented private equity firm that partners with business owners and management teams to create shared success. ACP manages $2.1 billion in committed capital with investment teams in Cleveland, Ohio and Dallas, Texas.
Heritage has closed three add-ons since 2024 and, alongside ACP, plans to continue M&A with an initial focus on similar outsourced imaging models in adjacent markets and service line expansion into new modalities. ACP was advised by McGuireWoods. Heritage was advised by Cascadia Capital and Holland & Knight.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 41st Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis transaction of 2026, and the 26th deal announced in the diagnostics specialty. Throughout all of 2025, there were 137 Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis transactions, 71 of which were in the diagnostic subsector.
