Everis Medical has acquired Hood Laboratories, a Pembroke, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of ear, nose and throat, airway and thoracic devices. The deal expands Everis’ portfolio in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery and strengthens its position in airway management. Hood Laboratories, founded in 1962, will continue operations with seamless product availability for customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Hood Laboratories is a supplier of specialized devices including tracheal T-Tubes, bronchial and tracheal stents, nasal splints and products for rhinology, laryngology, interventional pulmonology and speech therapy. Everis Medical, headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan and backed by Shore Capital Partners, focuses on acquiring and scaling niche medical device technologies for otolaryngology/head and neck surgery and adjacent surgical specialties.

According to the original May 20 press release, this marks Everis Medical’s fifth strategic acquisition since its founding in 2019. Prior add-ons include the Cook Medical otolaryngology/head and neck surgery product line, the Shaw Scalpel (Hemostatix), the STIC Intra-Compartmental Pressure Monitor and the T/Pump Localized Temperature Therapy System. The combined portfolio strengthens comprehensive solutions spanning diagnosis, intervention and post-operative care in head, neck and airway procedures.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 39th Medical Device deal of the year. There were 86 Medical Device deals reported in 2025, and 87 in 2024.
