Freedom Home Care is joining the PurposeCare family of companies, according to a March 17 press release.
Freedom Home Care is a home care organization serving communities throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane, Kendall and McHenry counties. The team operates out of four offices in Northern Illinois: Highland Park, Lake Forest, Barrington and Vernon Hills.
Established in December 2021, PurposeCare provides home-based care to more than 3,000 clients each month. PurposeCare is a portfolio company of Lorient Capital, a private investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry.
As part of the PurposeCare family, Freedom Home Care will expand its concierge home care services beyond Chicagoland, gain access to increased resources and support from a larger multi-state organization and offer integrated home health services through PurposeCare’s dual home health/home care model. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 32nd Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) transaction announced in 2026. There were 111 HH&H deals announced during full year (FY) 2025, 98 announced during FY 2024 and 100 announced during FY 2023.
