DC Advisory reported that it worked on its third transaction of 2026. It advised The Carlyle Group on its acquisition of Hogy Medical Co.
The acquisition was done through TCG2509 Corporation, a limited partnership wholly owned and managed by The Carlyle Group, established for the purpose of the acquisition. The deal is expected to close in May 2026.
Hogy Medical Co is a Japanese manufacturer of medical-related products, including surgical kits. It is based in Toyko, Japan.
The Carlyle Group is one of the world’s largest private equity firms. It manages more than $465 billion of assets under management, as of June 30, 2025. Carlyle employs more than 2,200 people in 29 offices across four continents.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 23rd Medical Device deal of the year. There were 86 Medical Device deals reported in 2025, and 87 in 2024.
