MAX Surgical Specialty Management announced on January 20 that it entered into an agreement to acquire J. Bieber Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
J. Bieber Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is run by Dr. J. Bieber, who operates out of two locations in New York: Fishkill and Newburgh. Dr. Bieber has comprehensive expertise utilizing multiple dental implant systems and has successfully placed more than 10,000 dental implants.
MAX Surgical Specialty Management provides growth capital and administrative support services to partner oral and maxillofacial surgery practices. MAX supports 28 surgeons in 21 locations across four states. It is backed by MedEquity Capital, RF Investment Partners and Kian Capital.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This is MAX Surgical Specialty Management’s second acquisition of the year. On January 4, the company acquired Central Park Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Manhattan-based dental practice.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 31st Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2026, and the 12th in the dental specialty. There were 521 PMG transactions reported in 2025, including 251 in the dental market.
