On November 18, InFocus Eyecare, based in Dayton, Ohio, announced that it acquired Dunn Family Eye Care. The financial terms were not disclosed. 

Dunn Family Eye Care is an optometry practice based in Greensboro, North Carolina. According to its website, there are two doctors on staff: Dr. Peter K. Dunn and Dr. Taylor Dunn. 

InFocus Eyecare provides comprehensive vision care with a focus on patient experience and personalized service. With practices in seven states across the eastern United States, each location offers thorough eye exams and a curated selection of eyewear. InFocus Eyecare is dedicated to promoting healthy vision for all ages and supporting independent optometry practices as part of its family of care. 

This transaction marks InFocus Eyecare’s fourth acquisition of the year. Previously, it added four practices in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, adding six physicians to its network.  

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 447th Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2025, and the 27th in the eye care specialty. Eye care accounts for slightly more than 6% of all PMG transactions of the year. There were 26 eye care deals reported in 2024, and 48 reported in 2023.  

Other active buyers in the eye care space for the year include Eye Health America (four deals), EyeSouth Partners (three deals) and ReFocus Eye Health (three deals). Private equity buyers and their portfolio companies account for just under 60% of eye care acquirers in 2025.
