Talkspace announced on October 6 the acquisition of New York City-based Wisdo Health.

Wisdo Health is a clinically proven, AI-powered peer support and social health platform designed to improve mental and physical health outcomes, increase engagement and lower medical costs. Wisdo provides 24/7 support from trained peers with shared lived experience, precision-matched communities, group coaching, monthly check-ins and seamless referrals to therapy as well as other clinical and non-clinical resources.

Talkspace is a subscription-based online platform offering therapy and psychiatry services via video, phone or messaging to individuals aged 13 and older. The platform provides individual, couples and teen therapy from licensed mental health practitioners, and is in-network with most major insurance plans.

Talkspace will focus on integration to support a more holistic approach to mental health for all populations. Actionable insights within Wisdo on clinical outcomes and care gaps will enable seamless referrals of members to Talkspace when appropriate. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 247th eHealth acquisition of 2025, and the 38th in the patient engagement specialty. Patient engagement is tied with medical practice management services as the third most active eHealth specialty of the year. The Patient Engagement specialty makes up approximately 15% of all eHealth deals announced since January. The most active eHealth subsectors so far this year are revenue cycle management (45 deals) and telehealth (40 deals). There were 33 patient engagement acquisitions announced in 2024, and 17 announced in 2023.
