NY Orthopedics, a full-service orthopedic and sports medicine organization, announced that it was expanding its presence with the acquisition of two pain management practices: The Rehabilitation Medicine Center of New York and Newark Rehabilitation Center

The Rehabilitation Medicine Center of New York has two offices, based in New York, New York and Newark, New Jersey. According to its website, there are four physicians on staff. 

Newark Rehabilitation Center is a pain management and rehabilitation practice based in Newark, New Jersey. The practice is run by three physicians. 

NY Orthopedics’ expertise spans advanced arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, total joint replacement, spine care, biologic therapies and interventional pain medicine. The practice serves patients from multiple New York MSA-region offices including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Scarsdale, Westbury and Nanuet. 

Together, the practices will continue delivering advanced care for acute and chronic pain and injuries affecting the spine, neck, back, shoulders, knees and ankles, while gaining access to NY Orthopedics’ technical resources and business management expertise. 

This marks NY Orthopedics’ first acquisition of the year. Terms were not disclosed. 

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this represents the 350th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025, and the fifth in the pain management specialty. There were only seven pain management acquisitions announced in 2024, and seven in 2023.
