On September 15, Allied Physicians Group announced that it acquired Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center of Long Island, an eight-location ear, nose and throat (ENT) practice.

Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center of Long Island provides expertise in allergy diagnosis and treatment. Its services include asthma management, chronic cough evaluation, care for eczema and atopic dermatitis, nasal polyps treatment, sinusitis and rhinosinusitis management and sleep disorder care. According to its website, the practice has four providers on staff serving pediatric and adult patients at all of the locations.

Allied Physicians Group is a partnership of more than 150 physicians and clinicians who provide patient-centered care and collaborate on their best practices. Allied Physicians Group was acquired by private equity firm Ascend Capital Partners in January 2023.

“This acquisition demonstrates our ongoing dedication to ensuring families across Long Island have convenient access to the specialized care they need,” Joshua Sleeper, president of Allied Physicians Group and Adjuvant.Health, said in a news release about the expansion.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Patel, Dr. Altman, and their team into the Allied family. Their expertise strengthens our physician-led model, which empowers providers to deliver truly personalized care to every patient,” Dr. Kerry Frommer Fierstein, CEO of Allied Physicians Group and Adjuvant.Health, said in the same news release.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 340th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025 and the sixth in the ENT specialty. There were 12 ENT transactions reported in 2024. This also marks Allied Physicians Group’s first acquisition since it was purchased by Ascend.
