Specialized Dental Partners (SDP), a portfolio company of private equity group Quad-C Management, announced its 11th deal of the year with the acquisition of Southern Minnesota Periodontics & Dental Implants. 

Southern Minnesota Periodontics & Dental Implants is based out of one location in Mankato, Minnesota. According to its website, there is one physician on staff (Dr. Sergey B. Dolgov) who is supported by a team of employees. 

SDP (formerly known as US Endo Partners) is a leading specialty dental service organization that provides comprehensive support services to endodontic specialists across the United States. It is based in Franklin, Texas. According to its website, it is partnered with more than 170 dental practices across the country. 

This expands SDP’s presence in Minnesota. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.  

Previously in 2025, SDP acquired practices in Colorado, North Carolina, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington, Missouri and Texas, adding 21 physicians to its network. In 2024, the company completed 23 transactions and four in 2023.  

According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 320th Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2025 and the 164th in the dental specialty. Dental accounts for the largest portion of PMG transactions announced since the start of the year. Throughout all of 2024, there were 242 dental transactions reported and 180 in 2023. This also marks the fourth dental practice to be acquired in Minnesota since the start of 2025. 

Additionally, the other PMG specialties that account for a notable portion of the transactions in 2025 are dermatology (20 deals), orthopaedic (19 deals), internal medicine (18 deals), eye care (16 deals) and pediatrics and plastic surgery, with nine deals each.
