Knowtion Health announced the acquisition of Switch RCM on June 23, 2025. The acquisition of Switch RCM enhances Knowtion’s differentiated service model with additional data intelligence, digitization and engineering expertise.
Founded in 2017, Switch RCM utilizes data and automation to enhance revenue cycle outcomes, identifying revenue opportunities for its clients. Switch RCM’s headquarters are located in Madison, Wisconsin.
Knowtion Health, formerly known as RSource Healthcare, helps the health system revenue cycle resolve denied and complex claims, recover low balance accounts and defend against payer audits. The company serves more than 350 hospitals nationwide and manages billions of dollars annually in outstanding balance accounts. Knowtion Health was acquired by private equity firm Sunstone Partners in September 2020.
Raymond James served as financial advisor to Knowtion Health. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 153rd eHealth transaction of 2025, and the 30th in the revenue cycle management (RCM) specialty. This is an increase from last year when there were just 14 RCM deals announced between January 1, 2024, and June 23, 2024. There were 246 eHealth, and 36 RCM deals announced during 2024.
