Orchard Mental Health Group announced that it has quadrupled its footprint by acquiring two companies: GBCC Behavioral Health and Oasis Behavioral Health Urgent Care. All three entities operate and are located throughout the greater Washington D.C. MSA.
GBCC Behavioral Health is a comprehensive mental health center that has been providing mental health services since 1996. The company’s network of providers offers psychological evaluations, individual, family, as well as couples counseling and psychiatric medication management. Many services are also available via telehealth.
Oasis Behavioral Health Urgent Care is a mental health walk-in center for people in urgent need of mental health care. Its services include brief counseling, safety screenings and referral to other resources. Oasis Behavioral Health Urgent Care, founded in 2005, operates one location in Annapolis, Maryland. It also offers group and individual services.
Orchard Mental Health Group, formerly known as Quince Orchard Psychotherapy, offers in-person and virtual therapy, medication management, diagnostics and psychiatric services. Founded in 2015 and is based in Rockville, Maryland, the company merged with private equity firm The Graham Group in May 2023.
As part of the deal, GBCC acquired Oasis, then Orchard acquired the combined entity. Orchard now operates eight locations after adding the two practices to its footprint. Collectively, GBCC and Oasis operate six locations with more than 80 clinicians.
The Chicago-based M&A firm Physician Growth Partners advised GBCC and Oasis in the deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 15th Behavioral Health Care (BHC) acquisition of 2025. Throughout the entirety of 2024, there were 70 BHC transactions, a 16% decrease from 2023 when 83 BHC transactions were reported.
