SightMD Connecticut announced that it is expanding its presence in Connecticut with the purchase of Doctor & Associates.
Doctor & Associates offers comprehensive ophthalmic services through three locations in Westport, Wilton and Norwalk, Connecticut. According to its website, there are three physicians on staff: Dr. Leslie Doctor, Dr. Spiro Combest and Dr. Michael Bautista.
SightMD Connecticut offers patients access to seven eye care doctors through five clinical locations and one ambulatory surgery center in Connecticut. Its services include general eye exams, cataract surgery, LASIK and refractive eye surgery, macular degeneration, pediatric eye care, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma care and dry eye management. Sight Growth Partners is the administrative services provider for SightMD Connecticut, as well as SightMD Pennsylvania, SightMD New Jersey and SightMD in New York. Sight Growth Partners is backed by middle-market private equity firm Chicago Pacific Founders.
With this partnership, patients of Doctor & Associates will benefit from SightMD Connecticut’s resources, including access to its technologies and a seamless care network spanning multiple locations across the state. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 23rd Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025, and the second in the eye care specialty. This is also SightMD Connecticut’s second acquisition; in 2023, the company purchased one independent ophthalmology practice in Enfield, Connecticut.
