On December 9, Access Physical Therapy & Wellness (Access PT) announced its acquisition of Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady. The partnership will expand Access PT’s footprint to 73 clinics across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady is a therapist-owned physical therapy practice with seven clinics across Massachusetts and New York.
Access PT is a private physical therapy practice group. Access PT was acquired by Confluent Health, a portfolio company of Swiss-based private equity firm Partners Group, in May 2024 for an undisclosed price.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 42nd Rehabilitation transaction of 2024. There were 51 Rehabilitation deals announced during 2023 and 82 announced during 2022. This also marks Access PT’s first acquisition since it joined the Confluent Health family.
