Epiphany Dermatology, a portfolio company of the private equity firm CI Capital Partners, recently announced that it acquired George Dermatology.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, George Dermatology is run by Dr. Mary Noel George. According to the press release, Dr. George is the only physician on staff, but she is supported by a team of employees.
Epiphany provides general dermatology, skin cancer care, Mohs surgery, cosmetic services and additional dermatologic services. It has partnerships with dermatologists in more than 90 locations across Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas and Wyoming. The company was founded in 2014.
This transaction marks Epiphany Dermatology’s sixth acquisition of 2024, and its second in Missouri for the year. The financial terms were not disclosed. Previously in 2024, Epiphany Dermatology acquired practices in Washington, Texas, South Carolina and Georgia, expanding its physician network by seven providers.
According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 432nd Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2024, and the 20th in the dermatology space. Throughout all of 2023, 29 dermatology acquisitions were reported, and in 2022, there were 37.
