On September 10, U.S. Oral Surgery Management (USOSM), a portfolio company of New York City-based private equity firm Oak Hill Capital Partners, announced that it completed the acquisition of four dental practices.
Granite State Oral Surgery operates out of two locations in New Hampshire: Salem and Londonderry. According to its website, the practice is run by Dr. Salman Malik, who is the only physician on staff.
Oral Surgery & Implant Associates of Greenville is based in Greenville, South Carolina. According to its website, there is one provider on staff: Dr. Jeff Simmons.
Hattiesburg Oral Surgery & Implant Center is based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. According to its website, the practice has four physicians on staff.
East Bay Oral Surgery has one location in Lafayette, California. According to its website, there is one provider on staff (Dr. Keith R. Gronbach) who is supported by a team of five employees.
USOSM is a management services organization focused on oral and maxillofacial surgery. The company was formed in 2017 and has partnered with surgeons across 27 states.
With the new additions, USOSM now has 250 surgeon partners across 28 states. In addition to these acquisitions, USOSM has acquired eight other practices in 2024. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 353rd Physician Medical Group transaction of the year, and the 186th in the dental specialty. The dental specialty represents more than 13% of the 1,414 healthcare acquisitions announced since January 1, 2024.
