Specialty1 Partners, backed by private equity firm VSS Capital Partners, announced the acquisition of Northeastern Endodontic Specialists.
Based in Wooster, Ohio, Northeastern Endodontic Specialist has been providing endodontic care to its community since 2011. According to its website, the practice has two providers on staff: Dr. Micah Nuzum and Dr. Stephen Balzer. The physicians are supported by a team of six employees.
Specialty1 Partners is the parent company of dental surgical-based partnerships Endo1 Partners, Perio1 Partners and OS1 Partners. It maintains and scales practices for optimal performance in order to transform goals into reality. Specialty1 has established partnerships with more than 225 practices and has a network of more than 350 specialists across 28 states.
The entire team at Northeastern Endodontic Specialists will join Specialty1 Partners. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 328th Physician Medical Group transaction of the year, and the 173rd in the dental specialty. This is also Specialty1 Partners’ second acquisition of 2024; in January, the company purchased Minutello Periodontics & Implants Dentistry, a three-physician practice that is based in Corona, California.
