On August 8, Health Catalyst announced that it has successfully completed its acquisition of Boston, Massachusetts-based Lumeon Limited. Health Catalyst, which trades on the NADAQ market under the ticker “HCAT,” funded the transaction with a mix of stock and cash. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lumeon Limited is a digital health company providing management care solutions to the healthcare industry. With operations in the United States and the United Kingdom, Lumeon is dedicated to helping provider organizations mend broken care coordination processes through automated care orchestration. Leading providers use Lumeon’s Care Orchestration technology to lower costs, optimize clinician and staff time, enhance revenue and improve quality and patient safety.

Health Catalyst is a data warehousing, analytics and outcomes-improvement company that helps healthcare organizations of all sizes perform the clinical, financial and operational reporting and analysis needed for population health and accountable care.

Health Catalyst expects this combination will further strengthen and differentiate its core focus on clinical improvement and ambulatory operations, in addition to supporting its current and future tech-enabled managed services partnerships. Health Catalyst also anticipates that Lumeon’s presence in the United Kingdom will strengthen its ability to expand and more effectively pursue new opportunities in the region and potentially in other international markets.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 149th eHealth transaction of 2024, and the fourth in the care coordination specialty. There were eight care coordination deals announced during 2023, and five announced during 2022.
