On June 19, Qualitas Dental Partners, a premier dental partnership based in the greater Boston MSA, announced that it purchased three dental practices in Rhode Island.
The practices were not disclosed but include a general dentistry practice in central Rhode Island known for its patient-centered approach and high-quality care; a multi-specialty practice that has been in business for several generations; and an oral and maxillofacial surgery center specializing in a wide range of surgical procedures and dental implants.
This is Qualitas Dental Partners’ third transaction of 2024. In total, the company has purchased eight dental practices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 247th Physician Medical Group transaction of the year and the 127th in the dental specialty. Throughout all of 2023 there were 180 dental transactions reported so dental M&A activity during 2024 is on track to exceed that of 2023.
