On June 3, Valsoft Corporation announced that it acquired Quebec City-based Progitek

Founded in 1995, Progitek is a dental practice management software company. The company provides a software platform aimed at helping dentists go paperless and manage their clinics. The platform allows users to manage appointments, collect invoices, create treatment plans and create dental plans, among other features.

Valsoft Corporation acquires and develops vertical market software companies, helping each business to deliver the best mission-critical solutions for customers in their respective industry or niche. The company is based in Montreal, Canada.

In January, Valsoft received $229 million CAD ($170 million USD) in growth financing to expand its portfolio. The financing was led by a new investor, Coatue, and returning investor, Viking Global Investors, which acquired a minority stake in Valsoft in March 2022 for $100 million USD.

The deal marks Valsoft’s sixth acquisition since securing the growth financing. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 101st eHealth transaction of 2024 and the 30th in the medical practice management service specialty. This is also Valsoft’s second acquisition of the year. In March, Valsoft purchased TDO Software from Sonendo, Inc. for an undisclosed price.
