On April 2, First Fertility announced that it was expanding into California with the purchase of Fertility & Surgical Associates of California.
Fertility & Surgical Associates of California is a fertility practice internationally recognized as a leader in advanced fertility treatment. It operates out of three locations in California. According to its website, the practice has four providers on staff.
First Fertility is one of the largest fertility networks in the United States. It has more than 35 locations in North America, serving patients in 15 states, including Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, California and Texas.
This partnership expands the First Fertility footprint into Southern California. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 137th Physician Medical Group transaction of the year, and the sixth in the OB/GYN specialty. This transaction also marks First Fertility’s second acquisition of 2024. In March, the company purchased Fertility Specialists of Texas, a six-provider fertility practice in Texas.
