Kentucky Counseling Center (KCC) announced on April 3 that it entered into an agreement to acquire Flourish Psychotherapy.
Flourish Psychotherapy is a mental health counseling center in Cincinnati, Ohio. It also serves the Columbus, Ohio area.
KCC provides mental health counseling out of three locations in Kentucky. It has nearly 180 employees. According to the press release, the company reported 63% revenue growth during 2022 and 2023.
The original deal press release notes that the acquisition will expand KCC’s presence to Cincinnati and Columbus. Flourish Psychotherapy will rebrand as Counseling Now. The combined company will have five locations that are run by more than 200 employees. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 19th Behavioral Health Care acquisition of 2024, and the sixth in the counseling specialty. This represents a slight increase in M&A activity in the counseling specialty. Between January 1, 2023, and April 3, 2023, five counseling transactions were announced.
