Best Life Brands, a portfolio company of private equity firm The Riverside Company, announced that it has added another home-focused company to its portfolio. The company will acquire Next Day Access, according to a March 25 press release.
Next Day Access is a leading provider of home access solutions to homeowners and businesses across the United States and Canada. The company offers wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, porch lifts, patient lifts, grab bar installations, auto lifts, pool lifts, mobility scooters and other mobility equipment, as well as durable medical equipment such as manual wheelchairs, super poles, shower benches, transfer benches, toilet safety frames, hospital beds and lift chairs.
Best Life Brands is a holding company that includes ComForCare and At Your Side, premier franchised providers of home care; CarePatrol, the nation’s largest franchised senior placement organization; Blue Moon Estate Sales, one of the leading estate sale franchise in the United States; and Boost Home Healthcare, dedicated to providing superior in-home nursing, therapy and home care services, which together include more than 400 franchise locations across the United States and Canada.
The acquisition of Next Day Access aligns with Best Life Brands portfolio of personal home care and home health brands. Best Life Brands’ other subsidiaries will be able to refer patients to Next Day Access’ home modification services, or vice versa. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 18th Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) transaction of 2024, as well as the fourth in the Durable Medical Equipment/Respiratory Home Care specialty. There were 97 HH&H transactions announced during 2023, and 113 during 2022.
