Panoramic Health announced on March 19 that it entered into an agreement to partner with The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC).
KHC is one of the largest independent nephrology practices in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to its website, the practice has 34 physicians and 11 nurse practitioners on staff. KHC treats roughly 2,500 stage 4 and stage 5 chronic kidney disease patients and more than 1,700 end-stage kidney disease patients out of 23 locations.
Panoramic Health is a physician-led kidney care organization. Panoramic Health’s Clinical Research division partners with sponsors and clinical research organizations to bring treatments to patients with kidney disease.
This represents the first Panoramic Health integrated provider group partnership in Ohio and its first acquisition of the year. The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 121st Physician Medical Group (PMG) deal of 2024, and the first in the nephrology specialty. In 2023, 535 PMG transactions were reported, as well as nine nephrology deals. In 2023, Panoramic Health acquired four nephrology practices and one dialysis company.
