On December 5, imaware announced that it entered into an agreement to acquire binx health‘s at-home consumer testing business.
binx health is a healthcare technology and diagnostics company focused on innovating solutions to improve routine testing and convenience. Founded in 2005, it is based in Boston, Massachusetts and has an office in Bath, United Kingdom.
imaware is a digital health platform company powering home-testing for healthcare brands. Its technology solutions provide patients, providers, employers and brands with access to a digitally-native care model. The model includes logistics, CLIA/CAP-certified laboratory analysis, telehealth support and compliance expertise which provides a seamless user experience and convenient access to care. It is based in Austin, Texas.
The acquisition will expand imaware’s position in the home-health testing market and expand the number of imaware’s clients. binx health will retain and continue to grow its point-of-care molecular diagnostics business, which is excluded from the imaware transaction. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 119th Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis acquisition of the year, and the 60th in the diagnostics specialty. This is a slight decrease from last year when 66 diagnostic transactions were reported between January 1, 2022, and December 5, 2022.
