Consensus Health announced on November 6 that it expanded its presence in New Jersey with the addition of four internal medicine practices and one pediatrics practice.
Sea Girt Medical Associates operates out of one Manasquan, New Jersey location. Internal Medicine Associates of Bridgeton is based out of its Bridgeton, New Jersey location. The practice of Dr. Dominic Mazzocchi operates out of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Dr. Steven Somogyi is an internal medicine practitioner operating a practice in Perth Amboy, Jew Jersey.
With the addition of these practices, Consensus Health has added 12 internal medicine physicians to its network.
The pediatrics practice, CafoneCare, is run by Dr. Michael Cafone and operates out of Mullica Hill and Bridgeton, New Jersey.
Marlton, New Jersey-based Consensus Health is a physician-owned and -governed medical group comprised of independent primary care providers and specialty doctors. It has more than 150 physicians across more than 60 locations clinical autonomy. Currently, Consensus Health provides medical care statewide throughout 17 New Jersey counties.
As part of the transactions, Sea Girt Medical Associates was renamed Consensus Health Primary Care Sea Girt Medical Associates and Internal Medicine Associates of Bridgeton was renamed Consensus Health Primary Care Internal Medicine Associates. The financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, there have been 448 Physician Medical Groups acquisitions announced in 2023, including 39 internal medicine and 11 pediatrics transactions. Consensus Health, in July 2023, also added five internal medicine practices to its portfolio.
