Alo Solutions announced on October 2 that it acquired Davidson Family Medicine, an internal medicine practice.
Davidson Family Medicine operates one location in Davidson, North Carolina. According to its website, the practice is run by a team of 10, five of them physicians.
Alo is a physician enablement platform that provides solutions designed to support long-term practice sustainability. The company is headquartered in Durham, North Carolina and currently supports more than 30 independent practice and provider groups delivering care to more than 100,000 covered lives. Alo is the parent company of Avance Care, a primary care provider that has been offering convenient, cost-effective healthcare services since 2008.
As its first acquisition of the year, this expands Alo’s network of Charlotte-area practices, operating under the Avance Care brand. Per its website, Davidson Family Medicine will be adding an additional physician to its staff shortly. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 417th Physician Medical Groups, 37 of them in the internal medicine speciality. This is an approximate 32% increase from last year, when 28 internal medicine acquisitions were reported January 1, 2022, and October 2, 2022.
