CI Capital Partners’-backed Epiphany Dermatology announced its second transaction of the month with the purchase of Dr. Lee Portnoff, MD, PC’s dermatology practice. The financial terms were not disclosed.
Dr. Portnoff operates out of one St. Louis, Missouri location. The practice is affiliated with St. Luke’s Hospital, a multi-specialty hospital in St. Louis with more than 180 physicians.
Through its partnerships with dermatologists across 80 locations in 13 states, Epiphany provides general dermatology, skin cancer care, Mohs surgery, cosmetic services and additional dermatologic services. It was founded in 2014.
This is Epiphany Dermatology’s fourth acquisition of the year; previously it purchased SkinMD Dermatology & Skin Enhancement Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Pediatric Dermatology of Kansas City in Mission Woods, Kansas; and Dermatology Associates of Greenville in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2023, Epiphany Dermatology has added 12 providers to its network, so far.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 410th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of the year, 22 of them in the dermatology specialty. In 2022, Epiphany Dermatology completed seven transactions.
