ELNA Medical Group, one of Canada’s largest integrated networks of medical clinics, has announced its acquisition of Physimed Health Group. Established in 1988, Physimed Health Group was Quebec’s first medical network to offer continuous access to healthcare services 365 days a year.
Situated in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal, Physimed boasts a state-of-the-art facility spanning 45,000 square feet. It offers access to a complete range of medical services with a team of more than 50 physicians, including a public family medicine practice with Family Medicine Group status, specialty care, comprehensive medical esthetics and corporate and executive medicine.
ELNA Medical brings together the largest network of medical clinics in Canada. Serving more than 1.6 million Canadians every year, ELNA’s network includes more than 95 clinics and points of care located throughout Canada, including more than 25 in Quebec.
This acquisition marks ELNA’s sixth medical complex within the province of Quebec, as well as its initial expansion into the region’s occupational and executive health sector. The integration of Physimed’s extensive corporate health services into ELNA’s existing network, primarily centered in Alberta and Saskatchewan, are already serving prominent clients nationwide. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this deal represents the 16th occupational health transaction of 2023. Additionally, this marks ELNA’s third deal of the year. Prior to this, the company acquired three health clinics: Créa-MeD and Uni-Med in March, followed by Neurothérapie Montréal in August. This also marks ELNA’s first transaction in the occupational health subsector.
