Medical Optometry America has acquired Personal Eyes, an eye care center in Paoli, Pennsylvania. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 272nd Physician Medical Groups transaction of the year, and the 28th in the eye care specialty.
Personal Eyes is led by Dr. Marie Homa-Palladino, who specializes in treating myopia, or nearsightedness. According to its website, Dr. Homa-Palladino is the only provider on staff.
Medical Optometry America provides medical eye care services in Pennsylvania. Medical Optometry America diagnoses diseases at their earliest stages, treats issues before they become significant problems and provides relief for existing conditions.
The acquisition will further expand Medical Optometry America’s patient base in the Philadelphia MSA and enable it to launch the MOA Myopia Management Center of Excellence. Personal Eyes will become a part of Medical Optometry America’s Eye Health Center in Newtown Square.
According to Medical Optometry America CEO Ken Krieg, the addition of Personal Eyes is the first in a series of planned acquisitions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
